Rita started her real estate career in 1985 and since then has been recognized as one of the top Agents in the US. by the International President’s Elite Club.  Rita has also received both the Distinguished Service Award and the Community Service Award from the Long Island Board of Realtors.  Rita served on the Board of Directors for The Huntington Chapter of LIBOR for 10 years.  As the Leader of Team Bender, she works to provide only the top level of service to all of their clients and customers.

Rita is very involved in the local community as a member of several charities and organizations.  Rita was the Founding President of the Suburban League for The City of Hope, where she received the Galter Award as the most successful chapter in the U.S.

Later, she served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Long Island Coalition, overseeing fundraising for the Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, and NYC chapters of the City of Hope.  She presently sits on the Board of Directors for Huntington Breast Cancer Action Coalition, House Beautiful Civic Association, and Huntington Arts Council.

Rita is a longtime resident of Dix Hills and was honored in 2011 by the Huntington Chamber of Commerce for "People Who Make Huntington a Better Place to Live".
